Third-person action-RPG on Unreal Engine 5. The protagonist is a samurai with a magic bow and a melee weapon. Souls-like lock-on combat (target lock, dodge-roll with invincibility frames, stamina as a combat resource, combo chains) is combined with ranged bow fire and elemental abilities. On top of combat sits an RPG framework: a two-branch skill tree, a scan-vision mode with a tactical HUD, a mission system with objectives (“kill all”, “reach the point”) and navigation markers. Combat is delivered with combat VFX and includes a boss fight with its own health bar. Gameplay mechanics are built in Blueprints for fast iteration. Made during a UE5 course.
